Little personal touches

When I meet my couples for the first time and they book me as their chosen celebrant I ask them a lot of questions.
I say to them I like to get a "feel" of your day.  I am not only talking about all the information that I collect for writing their personal ceremony, but all the little touches that go into making their day special.  What colour will the flowers be?  What are the guys wearing?  Will there be a theme?  What colour are the bridesmaid's dresses?  How many people are you inviting?
My aim is that on their special day I will look professional and blend in with the colour scheme and general feel of the day.

Logo at last! Sassy Celebrant On November 2, 2017   When I decided to get a logo after 11 years in business I didn’t think it would be that difficult!  Decisions, decisions!  I really wanted “the pink panther” as my sassy element but my graphic designer informed me unless I wanted to pay MGM Columbia a zillion dollars to use it I would have to think again.  I should have known better!  After a couple of months of  looking at many designs and colours we finally came up with the final product. Accepting Notice of Intended Marriage from same sex couples On November 25, 2017 By sassyweddingcelebrantmelbourne In same sex marriage   As Celebrants we have a close link to the Attorney Generals Department.  The following passage was taken from their website: “The Marriage Amendment (Definition and Religious Freedoms) Bill 2017 (‘Dean Smith Bill’) was introduced into the Senate on 15 November 2017. The requirements set out in the Marriage Act 1961 remain in place until such time as an Act of Parliament changes them. As such, celebrants are currently not able to accept a Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) from same-sex couples. The date from which same-sex weddings could occur in Australia will depend on the date the Australian law is changed to allow same-sex marriage.  The department will communicate advice to celebrants and the public about changes to the Marriage Act 1961 as soon as possible after the passage of any amen...
